K5s with exterior Line-X

Yep That one:waytogo: I still have my monstrosity hanging in the rafters and every once in a while I think to my self, self why don't you put that on the blazer, then I start to remember the pain in the ass it really is and well now you kinda get it, it's been up in the rafters for over 6yrs waiting for one of the ropes to break and crush whatever or whoever may be under it when it drops:doah:

yeah, don't worry about a hard top. I live in Utah with much worse weather than you'll ever see and I haven't put mine on in 10 years. I bought a soft top for it and never put the hard top on again.
Just last year I got sick of the damn thing taking up so much room and cut it up trying to make something useful out of it (with mixed results). Details are in my build thread if you're curious, but bottom line, don't worry about a hard top. :)

If you're really set on one, just keep your eyes open, there is bound to be someone getting rid of one eventually and may just let you take it off their hands for free.

I hear ya about the hard top. I'll try not to dwell on it. The high where I live (South Texas) is in the low 70s the next four days. LOL.

These guys are right - focus on the mechanical stuff first. The Chevy small block is a pretty robust engine - it doesn't take much to get one of them running again, even if it has been sitting awhile.

There is a wealth of information on this site - if you post pictures of issues you find along the rebuild process I am certain folks here will help you out.

If you look at everything that needs to be done all at once it is very easy to get overwhelmed! Take it a bit at a time. Pick one thing to work on and work it to completion.

FYI - I would also avoid that Line-X'd blazer like the plague.
