I have posted on this subject before so I am now just passing information along so other might be able to use it as I needed it when looking. My Kenwood D-Mask radio went bizerk on day. Face lit up and proceeded to open itself and did not function after that. I had bought a new face thinking that was the problem and wasted 149 dollars on it. I found that it is the electronic strip connecting the face to the unit itself. There is an Audio shop on e-bay that i sent it to to fix it. Cost of parts was 60 dollars and shipping back was I think 15. Received it back last week and is working perfectly now.
Just a little info for you out there and I hope that I helped someone out. I spent too much money on radio to throw it to the side.
