so i seem to be missing the "spring retainer" (the cupped washer that goes on top of kp spring)

i remember hearing that its ok to use fender washers on kingpins for a bandaid, and those i have, just not the spring cups (retainer)

they look like a giant washer with a lip in the middle for the spring to grab.

do i need this ya think?
can i just use a washer? or is that "lip" in the spring cup crutial?

thanx

The lip is to keep the washer centered on the spring. You could use a regular washer but it won't stay centered, what damage will it cause? Probably not much. The Spicer washers can be bought seperatly from Randys Ring and Pinion.

If you are ready to assemble, Use a fender washer & forget it. If you are anal & are gonna worry about it order a new washer.
