So nobody knows where I can find a turret for sale? They must sell them, the Army seems to get rid of everything once it's soaked up some good abuse.

Just reviving the topic. I'm still looking for a turret ring (or something that would work for fabbing).

so easy to fab one
1x square tubing
roll into circle of desired diameter
make 2
second one sits ontop of fits, cut slits in the top ring, wide enough to hold a roller of some time(alum. hockey puck, inline skate wheel, you get the picture)
place guide on the inside of top hoop, 4 pieces of sheet metal welded to inside of toip ring would work, L shaped to hold it in and to keep it from coming off
there is yout turret

I think the lazy susan idea was a good one. Oh, and if you're going to make a potato cannon, go for the propane injection with spark plugs.

I was hoping for like $1000, that would have been a lot, but tolerable for the awesomeness of having a turret. For $2500 I can buy a lot of hours of custom machining to even have one made!
