I've used a hunk of pipe insulation in that situation in the past..beats having a frigid draft blowing up your legs in January!..
I did have fears it might burn if the wires ever shorted out,but they didn't as long as I owned the truck..they would be more likely to rub thru and short out without the insulation there..

Just an FYI, I cut the grommet off of my original harness and used it on my install. It was a fair amount of work to open it up enough to fit around the Edelbrock harness combined with what factory wires remained. It is so thick that trimming it was easier to clamp one end in the vice so that I could pull it open. So maybe one of these other options will be better.
I have a couple of these in my build. Hole is 2", but I think it could easily fill a 2 1/8 hole.

Just wanted to update in case anyone else was in the same boat.
Ordered this Corvette one. Way too small. Its meant for a 1.5" hole
Ordered this one. Will try it out.I have a couple of these in my build. Hole is 2", but I think it could easily fill a 2 1/8 hole.
