Largest Tire that will fit under a 90K5 With 6" lift

Right now I have only driven it around the block. I have some brake issues keeping it front he street. I only had to trim about 2 inches in front and rear of the front tire. with that I am able to get full lock both directions. It depends on what kind of driving you are going to be doing whether you will have to trim with a 6in lift. If you are driving street then probably no trimming. If you are gonna wheel then you will definately have to trim. As far as how they stick out. Mine stick out pretty far, about 2 in. I have a 15x8 rim with 2.75in back spacing. So with different back spacing you will stick out less.

tire choice is all about the use factor, what will it be used for

my buddy have a bronco, 6" Atlas leaf & procomp front I believe. He runs 39's. But its a sand/ street truck, very little flexing needed. Nevermind its a ford wheel well though lol

3" lift springs, D60 front axle, and some trimming to clear 37x12.5x17 MT/R's on 17x9 Walker Evans beadlocks with 4.5" backspacing. Only rubbing was at full stuff and turning. It would just rub the undercoating off the inner wheel well.

I then put in all poly body mounts and a 1" body lift and didn't rub after that.

Here it is as it sits now. I needed to do some trimming to get it to drive. I need to get it out on a trail to see if I am going to trim more or lift more.

This is a 4in lift on 37x14.5x15 toyo muds.

Thats when you get out the sawzall

I have ~6" of lift and run 39.5's.......:hack:

Front:4in spring+zerorate+1" body Rear:homebrew shackle flip+longer shackles+1" body

Rims are 15x8 with 4"BS 39.5/14.5-15 Pitbull Maddogs

Front rubs when full stuffed but overall I don't rub much at all. I still need to trim the back of my rear fenders. Front was trimmed then inner fender beat back with BFH

Its is ok to run a 14.5 wide tire on a 8inch wide rim? I thought you would have to have at least a 10in wide rim. Is that safe. for all of the tires i've looked into at are 13.5 wide and wider, the maker stays that the have to be mounted on a 15x10-12

People do it all the time. Seen 44's on 15x8's.

Might not be optimal for street driving but it's the "poor man's beadlock" offroad.

All tires are different but these Pitbulls have been pretty good running the 14.5 on an 8" rim on and offroad. I daily drive it with 25psi and after ~2500 miles I have no irregular wear like I thought I would. Plus I get the benefit of airing down to 4-5lbs with no beadlocks and haven't popped one off yet........yet

On highway they're great handling and ride. Pretty quiet too. Extremely happy for a bias tire.

As far as being called a mud tire though.......not exactly best at cleaning themselves out in clay/mud:mad:

I want to go bigger already anyways......:D
