later model diesel suburban...anyone have one?

Looking at buying a tow rig and was thinking of getting a 3/4 ton Suburban with a diesel. It will tow up to 10k; which is plenty for towing my K5 to those out of state events. Does anyone have any experience with one of these? Pete.

My dad has a 97 /forums/images/graemlins/burb.gif, its got right around 200,000 miles on it, and still works great. 4x4 with 3.73 gears and a posi. itll usully get 21-22 MPG and on the highway you cant even tell its a diesel.

The diesel was only offered from 94 and later I believe for the Burb. It took GM until 97 to get the injector pumps figured out. If you get a 97 or later you will bo doing pretty good they are great motors.
