Heh, I'm just fabbin a skid for the 14 bolt made outta 1/4" plate. Pics will be up soon. Will be able to just slide right off the boulders instead of getting caught up.

That thing looks indistructable. I doubt you will break anything at Moab.

A 14 bolt is a skid plate.

I still might shave 1" off the bottom.

so is there a four link suspension set up in your future? i'd like to see someone do coils all the way around on a k5 like the warn/blackdiamond set up for jeeps. seems like it would ride plush and flex awesome.

heh, Yes it is Steve... But a skid that has a nice ledge to get hung up on. Unless you shave it flush with the pumpkin, but that might be scary.

Yes, I need one...I was thinking about that very idea the other day when I kept dragging it on the rocks, and I saw a small leak start to form from the cover being mashed back...so I guess they sold another one!! Looks like a stout piece - I think I'll skip the truss, cause if I bend a 14 bolt I am doing something wrong!!! ha,ha

Cool, tell them you saw it on Ck5. Yeah the truss is way over kill but wanted to show what you could do with the rings, I also plan on taking an inch off the bottom so the truss will give it extra strength.

And yeah, it needs to be welded, duct tape doesn't work that well for this application.
