on the crapper...
I just want to confirm that I have the right size. This is for the stock (as far as I know) rear springs on my '91 Blazer.

I measured the OD as somewhere in the neighborhood of 1.7", so it should be the "metric" bushing. I actually measured about 1.8" on the OD of the sleeve and I'm guessing about .050" for the sleeve thickness. AFAIK, the only other bushing that would be close is the 1.5" bushing correct? So my not so precise measurement should be good enough to confirm it is the 1.7" bushing right?

You'd think so, buy my own not-so-precise measurement was... not precise enough. I tried all 3 sizes... finally ending up w/the metric deals, and ORD was AWESOME dealing with me. I can't recommend them enough.

I'm doing the ol' 52" rear to front swap over Christmas and I'd like to be able to change the bushings and get the front and rear suspensions (56" springs goin' on the rear) back together in a minimal amount of time. It is hard to measure the bushings precisely when the spring is on the truck and I kinda need to get it right the first time.

The 56"ers you got from me took the metric bushings. That is with the metal sleeve cut out. They came out of my '90 Sub. If you leave it in I believe the 1.5" bushings will fit. It was a pain in the a$$ to cut them out with a hacksaw. If you remove the sleeve make sure you chisel out any rust left in the eye. At first I couldn't get the 1.7's in until I cleaned up the inside of the eye. Pm me if you need anything.

Thanks! I'll compare the bushings in the 56" and 52" springs. It sounds like it would be much easier to leave the sleeve in.

Going by what ORD told me your 52" springs should be metric w/o the sleeve in. Check the ID of the eye before ordering.Ask me why I say that.
