LED headlight update

So does anyone make led lights for the 90 k5 blazer ?

I have the same head light set-up as your Blazer on my 1991 V3500 Crew cab. I just recently installed sealed high beam head lights (PN H4701) in place of the where the sealed low beam lights went, in order to improve the lighting on my truck. Now all four lights are sealed high beam lights. I had to do just a little modification to the terminal ends to make it work. Both the high beam and low beam lights have two terminal pins.

Nothing available for the mini-quad. @azblazer tried conversion LED in LMC housings and wasn't completely happy.
I have Bosch high beam housings in all 4 locations in my '90 Jimmy. They had double element bulbs which gave me low and high beam. They are European spec so they have good beam cut-off. But I got mine when Irish was on here. There may still be some on ebay.

I wonder how well LED bulbs would work in the HELA conversion headlights. There are quite a few on Amazon for $50 to $60.

My experience with LED's (granted, not headlights) are that they really need to be done right to work effectively.

Looking at the high dollar headlights, they aren't just slapping a large SMD LED on a flat surface and putting that in a housing. It would be interesting to hear how and why they do what they do with the internals of the high end LED lights, but it must have something to do with balancing dispersion with distance, and establishing an upper cutoff to keep from blinding others.

From what I understand, and it SEEMS to show this in reality, is that the light source isn't placed correctly for the halogen housings. This makes the light scatter too much. Doesn't put it where is needed or not wanted by oncoming traffic.
