Re: LED tail lights for 2nd gen\'s

I am pretty sure these are not just a drop in LED bulb but rather a circuit board with many LED lights.

I emailed him as well. I'd be willing to go the $100 or so for them.

Right now I have the 3157's and I like them, but the LED's would be nice since I would have a much lower amp draw and they are so impact resistant! Plus they look cool and red is so much nicer than the orangish red glow I have right now. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

www.truck-lite.com
Cut up a reflector so you can mount a standard Oval behind it.
Still going to be about $120 to do. It's not a bad price if they can make it for around $120 and fit like the ones in the early classics link.
I have been looking at this for my Burb. Trying to get the electrical load down so I can run my light cannons with the airstream behind it charging the batteries and running an aditional 8 lights on it. I'm also looking at convertig it to LED. 105 amp sounds like a big alternator till your chagint 2 batteires and running 440+ watts on high beams for just the head lights plus whatever the 16 running lights between truck and trailer are pulling. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

They are LED taillights, hence the increased cost. Anyways what do you care, if you dont want to pay 100 thats fine but its really none of your business if others want to or not, its personal preference. /forums/images/graemlins/angryfire.gif /forums/images/graemlins/angryfire.gif

Re: LED tail lights for 2nd gen\'s

I said $10 each. That would be $20 for a pair. I suppose that if he is building a ciruit board and it's really cool, I might go $50 a pair. But for $100, there are other upgrades that I want more than LEDs in my taillights. Jeez, that shifter that I want is $100. If I get a set for cheap, I'll take em.

Re: LED tail lights for 2nd gen\'s

Re: LED tail lights for 2nd gen\'s

If you can turn those 20 cent LEDs into something that I could use on my trucks, I'd give ya $100 for them without a problem.

To design and release the first set of lights will cost anywhere for $2000-$4000

[/ QUOTE ] Now taking that into consitteration, the $125.00 for a set of LED tail lights built for our trucks isn't all that high of a price, now is it ??? /forums/images/graemlins/deal.gif
