Hummm....

I liked the clear lens I've seen at the swap meets and shows...but they made them illegal in most states.. /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif
I think a combination of clear and red..would be cool..
if they make lens also...

Man those look great when applied.

Cheapest I've seen *good* LED's (very bright) is about $25/100. That one setup says 160 LED's PER BOARD. You've got about $75 JUST in the lights at that cost. (hope I read that right) For those of you that think it's a ripoff. It may be expensive overall, but the materials alone add up.

Still, $100 seems a bit much for a pair of taillights, but it's kind of like the gas mileage debate. You can spend $5000 to get 2MPG better, but you will never save enough gas to make it worthwhile. Stock taillights really don't fail too often, so other than looks/safety, there really isn't much justification for them, at least IMO, which is what counts if *I* want them or not.

[/ QUOTE ] Yeh me wanting em isnt to justify bulb replacements, its mainly cause even though i have higher output 1157's in, my tailights suck accordin to my friends. Last spring one was behind me, sun was behind him, he was in a car, and he couldnt tell if i had tailights.

Figures, Everytime I come up with an idea, somebody else's grabbed it and took off, /forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif oh well such is life. I'm currently working on the circut board run led lights for my 75, me and a friend at work are trying to locate the right leds to make this work, Going to make my own and try them, then if any one's interested I might make a few sets. I'll keep ya posted.

Look if you don't want them fine but why do you have to stir up junk in this post? It's called free will. It's fine that you don't see the value. Some of us including me do see the value. If you can do it cheaper then go for it. Yeah you can if your making them for yourself but the company deserves to make some cash from their labors. They have a unique product that they took the time and expense to develope. They can price it whatever they want.

Be respectfull enough to move onto the next post if you don't have anything constructive to add.

[/ QUOTE ] Please keep in mind that if I or anyone want to buy a set it's our money and our choice. Nobody is trying to force you to spend your money on a set. I'm sure you have bought something at one time or another that someone else wouldn't have.

I want a set so i will e-mail him soon. and I'm willing to pay 150 bucks for a set if it helps pervent people from rear ending me
I know Stacey put some of there 1st gen led tail lights in project copperhead.

Haha, Nothing like a point being proven.

CONOVERBANDIT, yeah keep us posted on the lights. I would rather pay somebody on the board for their design, before an outsider.

he was very polite and told me how they would build them... spent a lot of time with me explaining same..
