I was going to, but never saw a pic comparing them to the 1157's, like an 1157 in one side versus LED in the other, didnt you get a set? If you did, take a pic like that, id like to see the diff.

I posted a night pic with the hazzards flashing, but it wasn't the best quality pic. They do make a big difference, alot brighter !!! I think they're worth it, but thats just my opinion. /forums/images/graemlins/deal.gif

yeh i remember that pic, but i think you had both sides w/ LED's, i wanted to see the diff between them and the 1157's. Maybe also a side shot of em to see how much they light up to the side.

I was interested in purchasing them, but when I saw the picture that was posted I wasn't impressed. Perhaps if someone could post a better pic that might help.

Here's my LEDs for my '69. They are 168 red LEDs per side. I got them from a guy over on the '67-72 board. Very, very bright!

I think it was like $75-80 at the time (before they were mass produced). I believe that they are like $150 per pair now and I think you can get them at Brothers Truck Parts. Lifetime warranty, too.

Price was a huge reason for why I didn't buy them for my rig. The other reason was that I hack and bash my rig on the trail and losing an expensive set of tail lights would really bum out my trail ride /forums/images/graemlins/k5.gif

I just spent a few seconds there, but I don't see any "installed" pictures.

All I have to say about those bulbs are that they will not compared to a complete board that fits in that location. LED's don't disperse light very well (disputing what that sight says) and the 1157 LED bulbs I've seen in action confirm that. All you see through the lens is a really bright ring that is the LED "bulb", which doesn't illuminate the rest of the housing very well.

With a large "board" designed to fill the undereside of the lens, there is nothing BUT LED's, so it doesn't end up with just one bright spot.

Its hard to take a quality picture of a light... but they are alot britter and ALOT more red no a orange glow

myself i would probably buy the whole board cause i dont like people hitting me.

yea the led 1157's are much brighter then stock though.
