Can the ball joint from the left knuckle be removed without taking off the steering arm? I took the knuckle off the truck and am stuck at this point. I viewed some videos on y-tube and removing the steering arm looks nightmare-ish and they all took it off while still mounted to the axle. Any help appreciated. Thanks.

I have taken the ball joint off without removing the steering arm, and I have removed a steering arm of a knuckle that was off the axle. It's easier having the axle hold it for you but it's still fine without.
Do you just need to remove the ball joint?

My concern was getting it off because the cup would have to fit over the ball joint and the steering arm looked like it was in the way. However, my son pulled a fast one one me and banged it out with a hammer. So, although I haven't done it yet, I think I can press it in without a problem. Thank you all once again.

I took my knuckles off and just went to the mechanic around the corner from my house $25 later I left with new joints pressed in.
