A few of my IFS trucks I've had,
Nice looking GMC!
Thanks its a 89 454-th400 dana 70 with 4.10 srw 1-ton
That one with the GMC if it had its marker lights on could be an advertisement from that time period, good pic and good looking trucks. And I have kind of a soft spot for flatbed pickups too.
Since I last posted my Yukon in here, a few things have changed about it. Since then I have added new driving lights, cab lights, lifted it and some mud:
Not mine, but I found this in Grand Cayman during my cruise:
What kind of lift did you do?
between the white on and the red & white one, those are some beautifully well taken care of trucks.
A Craftsman lift. Used a Craftsman wrench to crank the torsion bars and put 1.5" blocks in back. I will be putting a Rough Country lift under it this summer :fingerscrossed:
Its a nice truck, all power options. it's weird that I never noticed the lack of clearance lamps one of these days I will rebuild the 454 and maybe SAS it.
The Flatbed has been the work horse around my place in NM for years I bought it from the power company with no bed on it and bald tires. it has 6.5/NV4500/NV241 with 4.10's rear has a detroit in it the winch is a old school ramsey. there is also a PTO drive on the trans
Work in away
Sorry I missed yours the flatbed had me fooled. So three duallys so far...
If I ran things anything with a GVWR over 8000lbs would have to have a standard.
Here's my 97 K1500. Centurion conversion. GM didn't offer a crew cab 1/2 ton in 97. Bought as a cab chassis and was butchered to put 4 doors on it. Frame section sucks ass that they put in. 350/4L60E/241 5.13 gears. SAS swap. Came with 14 bolt SF 6 lug. Now Dana 60 (chevy axle not ford) and full floater. Change of plans. Going to Rockwell axles and 44". 10" lift on her now. Dmax/Allison/205 in progress.
Well guys here is my latest project....98 K3500 Vortec 454/4l80E. Currently has a 4" tuff country circa 1999 with completely worn out suspension with 101K on it....I mean it needs everything in the front!! So....I have always wanted to SAS one so this one is getting it. I already have the Ford kingpin 60, brackets, springs, cross over just have to get started.
Here's me "IFS" 59 Apache(camaro subframe) and me formerly IFS 94 GMC 3500
Here's one of me 94 GMC parked next to a buddies stock 99 burb
Digging that Apache.
Did some work on my ex bro in laws obs this week. Also rocking a topper on my Sierra now
Thought I'd share a picture of my truck I just put a Dana 60 in. Rear lift still isn't done yet.
Tossed some 37" Toyo MT tires and some 18's on to replace the 315 bfgs on 17's..
After some grinder work went and took it out to the lake last night after dancing, passengers gave the ifs ride a thumbs up
A certain thread of yours needs some updating.
You make the Texas trip on the 37's?
