Lets see some IFS rigs...

I've got the aluminum wheels sitting in my shop right now, with brand new rubber on them too!

I've considered a chip just for the potential fuel economy increase, but I want to see what kind of mileage I pull with it stock first. I still have a lot of factory warrante left and really don't want to risk it by playing with the programming.

I'm already on the dieselplace.com too, only like 5 or 6 posts though... Go by 80Sierra over there.

Really looking forward to being able to put my box camper in, put the quad on the trailer and set the cruise control without having to run between 3rd and 4th gear like I always did in my 96 with the 4.3L V6. I've been V8less for far too long!

I've seriously enjoyed every foot of the 20 miles I've put on it! I've got it tucked away in the shop avoiding the ice and insane drivers that are on the road at the moment, I'll be busting it out come spring time :)

Some updated pics of my 97 K1500.
First pic is what it looked like about 2 years ago.

I think I'd have to buy the $100 kit since I have a 2500, I was under the impression they got bigger t-bars up front (plus mine is a big block crew cab)

wont do you any good... i cranked up on my crew cab the other day and before i could even max out the stock keys my UCAs where riding on the droop stops, so i had to crank it down a few turns :doah:

dont think ive posted in this thread yet so no better time than the present! specs in sig

I ended up leaving the suspension alone and putting 245's back on. Gas started rising again and my 34" LTB's made my 454 thirsty. :doah:

Went from 10.5mpg average with 265's down to 8mpg with the 34's back up to 11.5mpg with 245's. I figure a good tune up (129k on stock plugs/wires) and I'll be in 12-13's

I use my rig more for towing and with a few long hauls 3 or 4mpg's adds up fast. The last trip I took was 500 miles round trip, I could have saved quite a bit if I had the stock tires on it. But it does looks wimpy now... :doah:

Hmmm don't know if I've ever seen a 2DR Tahoe with the WT front end... the body looks nice and clean though!

Got one for sale here locally. I got a sales tax credit today for w/e i wanna buy from the insurance company. May just take advantage and buy it :dunno:

Wasn't common but was available. Just like the diesels and the manual transmission option. My first boss had a '94 or so with the WT front, plain steel wheels, a split bench in the front, and that sorta aqua-blue-green color GM had at the time.

Oh, and Brians, she's a beaut! I had a '92 K1500 Blazer 2 door and I have a soft spot for that body style.

my DD/tow vehicle. it is a toy in itself as well, nothing can stay stock.

power is helped with OBX long tube stainless headers, ORY, cold air intake, and a blackbear performance custom PCM tune. HUGE difference over stock power wise.

sits on 305/70-16 MT ATZ's on 16x10 wheels, on just a TB crank on stock bars.. lots of small goodies on it. OBA and train horns are my favorite additions

thanks, that are a blast(no pun intended). peoples reaction are priceless. teh best use, is a local spot where people like to stop on the RR tracks at a stop sign, one blast and you have never seen someone try to get off the track so fast in your life, serves em right though for stopping on the tracks.
