Lets see some IFS rigs...

My DD 95 tahoe

Specs: 350/4L60/NP241 4.56 gears front and rear with an eaton pos. Dick Cepek 6.5" kit with Bilstein 5100's. 18x9 Pro Comp 7089's 35/12.50 Toyo Mt's
Motor is stock, Trans has a vette servo. Only other mods are a flowmster catback and a Flexalite electric fan kit. I bought the truck from an older lady who kept it in meticulous shape and it came loaded. I have an ORD shackle flip kit, U-bolt flip kit and some zero rates to replace the block, but haven't put them in yet.

I've had so much fun 4 wheeling in it, it's gotten me interested in having a more serious rig (basically anything would be more serious than an IFS rig). So, I bought a 77K5 and a 85 K20 to mold into a more capable rig. Which brough me here to CK5.

My younger bothers 92' k1500:

Tbi350, 700r4, np241, 3.73 gears, open diffs, and 32" mall-terrains, and oh yah, it has 230,000 miles and still runs like new:D gotta love GM's

I'm just impressed it still has it's cab corners and most of the body.

I used to have a '92 K1500 Blazer and man, you can't find a good truck from that body style up here from that era. They all rotted out because no one took care of them!

Ya it makes me sick how clean his truck is! It was an elderly man's truck (always the case in nice cars!) and he moved up from Texas a couple years ago! It even still has factory paint on the axles and frame! There is no rust anywhere, just mud! ; )

Actually, he just hit a guardrail with it the other night because he was playing with his cell phone! He's 16 which should explain why. Nothing too bad, just a nicked fender and bent front bumper, but he's lucky, I'm just really glad it wasn't worse.

Glad to hear he, and the truck, escaped major damage.

Time to bend and weld up a bumper.

Well, i guess i better get mine on here too. The rig is a 1999 GMC Yukon 150,000 miles and as straight as the day my grandpa bought it straight from the factory.:D Its all stock except for a superchips programmer (now makes 18-20 of the highway, no bull) My mom inherited the truck when grandpa passed away, parents couldnt afford to insure it (too many other cars) so sold it to my brother. He sold it to me after i came home from my mission. The first pic is the [gagging smiley] 20 in bling-blings he had it rolling on, next is soon after.:pimp: Just to piss off my bro:D I went down some dirt roads and got it muddy. The last pic is how it is sitting now on Police Interceptor wheels.

My future plans are to replace the gov-bomb with a detroit, and replace the Flowmast 50 series with a Flo-Pro. I'm saving my money until i can pimp out the 81 Jimmy. This will be a tow rig/mall crawler/do everything else rig until the Jimmy is done, by then it'll be a family vehicle.

Good looking Tahoe.

Skip the 2" suspension lifts or cranking the torsion bars...you'll spend more money on fixing front end and steering components than anything else...repeatedly.

my future plans are to lift it 2" and put a decent muffler on it, also replace the gov-bomb with a detroit. im saving my money until i can pimp out the 81 Jimmy. this will be a tow rig/mall crawler/do everything else rig until the Jimmy is done, then itll by then be a family vehicle.

NICE. Got any more specs on that?

That's how I wished my '92 Blazer would have turned out.

I think I stuck some pictures in here early on. I wheeled the piss out of my '92 for a few years and then it caught up with me. I finally had to abandon ship in '02 when it was just eating me alive with all the pissant little things that were wearing out and breaking.

4L60E, the last year of the 700R4/4L60 was 92 and early '93.
