Boy how things change over time...Well, i guess i better get mine on here too. The rig is a 1999 GMC Yukon 150,000 miles and as straight as the day my grandpa bought it straight from the factory. Its all stock except for a superchips programmer (now makes 18-20 of the highway, no bull) My mom inherited the truck when grandpa passed away, parents couldnt afford to insure it (too many other cars) so sold it to my brother. He sold it to me after i came home from my mission. The first pic is the [gagging smiley] 20 in bling-blings he had it rolling on, next is soon after.
Just to piss off my bro
I went down some dirt roads and got it muddy. The last pic is how it is sitting now on Police Interceptor wheels.
My future plans are to replace the gov-bomb with a detroit, and replace the Flowmast 50 series with a Flo-Pro. I'm saving my money until i can pimp out the 81 Jimmy. This will be a tow rig/mall crawler/do everything else rig until the Jimmy is done, by then it'll be a family vehicle.

Like those tires. I went with 275/65R18's since they fit stock. Didn't have any leveling at the time.
Since then I put Bilstein 5100 struts on and installed the front at 0.58" of lift. Which replaced the saggy originals so I'm about 1" above where I was before. Hoping to go bigger on tires next set. What kind of mpg are you guys seeing with the bigger tires?
In the future I want some upgraded upper control arms to keep the arms off the bump stops with more leveling. After that I'll bump the front up another inch or so.

The beginning of this thread was bonus points for axle swaps now it's frowned upon? You're not allowed Riley![]()

I bet if you took those shocks and struts off you'd be surprised her shot they are. Mine had about 72,000 miles on them and the fronts were definitely on the way out while the backs were not doing a whole lot.
I want to put a 3" Magnaflow muffler on the stock pipe. Just haven't had a reason. With the kiddo I now have to justify the expense of things. So it, along with a tune, upper control arms, bigger tires, etc is off in the future as needed.
It's older than dirtI never knew this thread even existed...
