I can't make up my mind on which set of wheels to use on my '87 V30.
I have the steelies but if they were to be powder coated, which color?
White, grey or black? I like either white or grey best with black the 3rd choice. I think grey wins over white.
And then I have aluminum Alcoa's. They look exactly like Kidjethro's and my '87 is also red in color but a regular cab truck.
Which would you guys use, steel or aluminum?
Yep, everyone definitely has different taste, I'm not a fan of 16" dually wheels at allI know everyone has their own taste soi'll just say that one is NOT for me. Wheels are wayyy too big.
And is that a crewcab shortbed dually??![]()

Personally, I like the looks of the stock dually wheels better than any aluminum rim. Theres something about those stockers with the 4 oval shaped holes that just look beefy.I think color is a personal preference, along with steel or aluminum. I went with stock late 80's wheels and had them powdercoated black with the center ring done gray. Personally I like the stock wheels done up nice, not much for the flashy stuff

I'm really leaning towards grey steel wheels. May even think about coating the front and rear CUCV bumpers grey to match the wheels, too.

I'm currently searching for a k30 4x4. I'm looking to spend around 5 grand. Where would be the best place to search. I'm on craigslist everyday. Any other forums or good websites, let me know. Thanks
I'm located in north Jersey. i wouldnt mind traveling 4 or 5 hours for a good truck.
I'd go searchtempest.com Its craigslist but searches cities in miles from you.
I know you said 4-5 hours man but you might consider looking further. There's parts of the country where there is no rust and the trucks are lots cheaper than the rust belt.
Talked to 84CUCV?
I willl admit to liking that one although the front tires could be bigger. that truck reminds me of my old work trucksmy '97 was waaay more proportional than that short bed.
