Thanks Wes!

I guess I should have written my thoughts when it comes to c/k 30's is they are the civillian ones, that is all.
You'd be wrong but this is a free country and that's your opinion.:waytogo:

Its one I posted a few years ago when I had it. I owned it for 12 years and sold it in 2009. It had a 4" and 33's one welds now it has a 10" and 38s.

You could probably get over $10,000 for that truck around here if it had a good engine to go with the good paint. :pimp:

Yeah definitely more than 10K is the "buy it now" price. I have been looking for a clean one for months in the red, black or white flavor...none to be found.

I found a cherry '83 Silverado out of town in some farmers shed and about 10 years ago he wanted $5K for it. I'm wanting to go back out there to get reacquainted with him and the truck and hope he can come down on the price today. Problem is, the whole engine bay is dirty, rotten, filthy, greasy, thick build up all over the 454. And the BBC is under powered so a rebuild would be in order hence the reason I didn't want to pay $5K to begin with.

Other thing wrong with it: even though its a Silverado, its got manual window cranks, door locks, and.................no A/C option. None at all. No vents, no A/C box in the engine bay, nothing. And its a Silverado. Hmmmm......

The lack of power options and A/C is a plus for me! Mine is also a Silverado, but with No power, or A/C.....I was told you could special order anything back then, mine also has a 350 versus the standard 454 in that model.

The 454 wouldn't have been the standard engine, it would have been the optional engine.

Oh good to know. I was under the impression the k30 3+3 had the 454 standard.

Nope. The 454 wasn't even available in a K30 for the first few years. I believe '80 or '81 was the first year you could get a big block in a K30. Someone who knows for sure feel free to correct me. I am not sure if which year a 350 became the standard engine, it was the 292 or was it 250?) in the late 70's.

Funny...There are a few of the 81-87 trucks I have seen with Silverado package and NO other options. In fact my 86 K5 blazer only has the silverado package, cloth seats, tilt wheel, intermittent wipers, automatic and no other options.

1981 was the first year you could get a 454 in a K30. Interesting enough there are some 73-78ish K10 shortbeds that were available with a 454 but not 3/4 tons or 1 tons.

Dude, what is it with Oregon & Washington state?!?! That area is loaded with gorgeous 1 ton trucks.

Not mine (on ebay) but thought you'd guys dig this.
This has to be the rarest K30s out there. 25 plus years of army vehicle shows auctions etc, I have only seen one other.
Like the unicorn of military trucks! Lots of stories but never a photo.
Seen a few SRW crew cabs 4x4 though.
Now that I think about it, pretty sure I've never seen a mil-spec K30 dually crew.
