Hey fellas, im fighting a issue with needing a traction bar with my springer suspension system. post up some pictures of what you have for a traction bar on the rear suspension to get rid of axle wrap.. Thanks.. Nate:D

Fighting an issue . Just do it . Your truck was all over last time I was behind you . Your u-joints and yokes will love you for it too .

best thing since sliced bread---Kit from dan at RuffStuff Specialties, 1 3/4 tubing and a HD cartridge joint/RE joint and 3" shackles (again from RuffStuff)

I was going to mention this too, didn't think a traction bar would really do the job,,,

Ya need to fab up or build something like a quick release setup, pin or something to lock the Springer in the level position while driving on road or to the trails or something, then undo it like some of us to with our swaybars up front :D

or go full on ghetto and just use some C-clamps ! :eek1: :wink1: :doah: :haha:

is it just me or is ( FRIZZLEFRY ) end mount for the frame up side down . all i have seen are bar on top and frame mount on bottom. will this make a diffrence?

not trying to cure the unloading of the springer, trying to get rid of the axle wrap... the unloading of the springer is a problem, but im on my way to making quick releases for it so i can release it when i need more flex or something... the big factor here is that now the truck is soooo light in the rear that it lifts without even barely touching the throttle... i need some weight in the back is what i need..... I like frizzles setup and plan on doing something like that... nate

Hey Guys,

Help me out...It looks like there is some type of orbital eye in the forward mount on FRIZZLEFRY setup, but not on SCOOBYDANNN's. I am trying to understand how the traction bar moves when ther eis a lot of articulation, like the wheel being at full stuff...

Also, I dig that little frame mounted bracket for the front shackle.

Its how ever you have the room to mount it :D Over or under,I think it makes no difference.

I have a Johnny Joint on the front of mine.I have seen them both ways with and without.

That little bracket is all 1/2" cold rolled :pimp:

DAMN!!! That bracket is BEEF! I dig it. Both of you guys have really cool setups. Where did you get the Johnny Joint, from Ruff Stuff with the kit?

The "Johnny Joint" actually has the thread attached to is and has a little less misalignment angle to it, and the "RE" joint is just the joint and you wel right to it. I got the RE joint from Polyperformance, but there are a few companies dealing with them now.

Frizzlefry--(don't mean to hijack Nate) could you post some photos of your quick release for the Springer suspension?

thanks

Jeff

Is anybody running a dual exhaust with a full cross memeber and the axle wrap bar on the side?
