I have purchased new / modified and have also hand ground with fresh flap disk on grinder and both times worked just great .
did you modify rails or buy them? I would imagine that could play a role and also the spring pressure (or lack of) will effect the feel of those rails sliding.

1 more post and your at 2000! haha
Awesome. I havent looked super close into doing it yet but it seems like something i can mill out at work.
It seems simple enough....
BOOM!
and I think my JB Fab twin stick kit came with directions on how to modify the rails. I could scan it to you, I really didn't look at it too closely since I chose to buy the modified rails from JB with the adjustable spring rail detent kit.

Awesome so they gave you instructions to do your own either way? Id like to take a look at that.
yeah with the twin stick kit I'm pretty sure I saw directions on how to modify the rails as well. I'll take a look tonight.

you'll be clocking the 205 flat right?
stock single lever yes .
twin stick SO MUCH BETTER . and lube the rails a little bit now and then with little spray can oil helps a ton .
na most are 2" up rotation for flat bottom 205 in relation to flat of 203 bottom .

Course you could always flip the 203![]()
As a side note when I have mine in low-low-low I have accelerate to get down a hill. The engine braking is insane.
Yes yes! This is what I need! thanks!
I love my full manual, reverse valve body th350My 205 is hard as hell to shift too! triple cable shifters from NWF for me.No, I have triple stick shifters. Won't shift for ****. The NP205 in my 1975 K5 (out of a 1980 K5) is the one of the very few easy shifting NP205's I have come across, and it has a stock shifter.
