Lets talk doublers

I keep debating if I want to keep my doubler for the next build. I would go magnum box and 205 if I were to do it again. My 205 shifts fine and I ground the rails on my bench vise. I love the selection of gearing and look when people go wtf are all those levers for? Hahah

You are way overthinking it. An SM465 with a long 32 spline output shaft, is the same length as a TH400 or a TH700R4. People put doublers behind TH400's and TH700R4's in Blazers, do they not???

Marrin

Youre right! I just kept seeing that setup on google images but couldnt find an overall length and it looked long as hell.

The problem with the 10 spline set up is spline wear, depending on usage it can be like new or totally shot. Since the 465/203 combo is rare, if you get one with bad wear you can't just run out and grab another (like a 465/205).

The ORD shaft is a cool upgrade but real spendy.

I see. Yeah that ORD setup is nice but not that kind of grip nice. Understandably its the strongest thing out there but i wont need that with my tired, clapped out 350 lol.
