Lift and tire combo - ‘91

Do

Dyeager, do you have a pic?

83Chevy has a pic above. Unfortunately I don't have any good ones of mine, but the diameter is the same so the look would be no different.

But yes to the 10.5" width. Most people will tell you the 12.5" rub when turning and/or when hitting a bump like turning into a driveway with a small lip. The issue is that a 12.5" tire, when turned, is "longer" in it's relation to the wheel well edges, than a 10.5.

I think the 9.5's are still made too, and with a LOT of wheel stuffing the 10.5s can rub in the rear, so if that was a concern and lift was not in the cards, 9.5" would make sense. But I've just had good luck with the 10.5s so I've stuck with them. Plus I have a wider axle now, so the rubbing potential is gone.

Appreciate your take. I’m an auto trans with 3.42. I’m definitely leaning 33’s, still unsure on the 10.5 or 12.5.

For a street rig, diameter is all that's going to matter. From the side the two widths will look the same. If you go 10.5 and want to lift later, you can. If you go 12.5 you have to lift. Or trim the fenders.

That’s exactly what I needed to hear! Thanks bro!!

I say do like I did with my 91 crew cab...10" lift / 38" tire. :D
