lift question

All this said, I haven't done my Ford towers yet, but my front suspension is about to come all apart, so what better time than now?

For now, my mech clutch is in the way. Not for long.... /forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif

Either re-fabbing of the ford towers, or a hydro clutch. i chose the latter. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif
 
nicotine, if you have a 2nd gen and you are not doing any fab work to the shock mounts, i think you need a shock that compresses at about 16 inches and extends to about 26 inches. if you have a shock on hand that extends to 23 inches, it will get you by but i think it may be too short - i would not spend any cash on a shock that only extended to 23 inches. the best way to do this is to get your springs installed and than measure.
 
thos 23.5 shocks are mountain ryder extremes they have a life time warrnty and they have been laying ar9ound my garage for a 4 months. i think i am going to try and return them for longer ones since they are still in the box and have never been used. thanks for all the help guys. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif
 
Tuff Country sent me 23" (eye to eye) shocks for the front with 4" EZ ride springs and 30" shocks for the 6" rear springs. Wish I had longer front shocks because they limit travel and will eventually go with ford tower and 30" on front. The 23's in stock location will work fine for a highway driver or limited off road use though. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif
 
Hey Matt, what delership did you go to? I called around and got the run-o-round,

also I have the adapter you need, call me and I can hook ya up with who has one in az, Tri city auto.. my ex's dad is part owner and manager, he hooked me up for 10.66 out the door, they only had one in stock and the only people in AZ who had one period /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif, but I am shure you could order it through your work, I imagin they have an account.
