when you guys lifted your street based rig 4" did you use the t-case drop?
on average i just want to know if it is nessasary.

83 K5 , 4 INCH front , shackle flip rear . I left my case as is and got a CV shaft .
However , my stock rear shaft ( spare now ) is long enough to wheel on if I chose to shim it to correct the angles .
Stock crossmembers bend enough if you ever try to wheel , dropping it isn't a good idea . Leaving it alone , drilling the holes bigger and using better bolts with large washers is good idea .

Don't drop the t-case.

thanks guys I already dropped it and am not happy, so it looks like I will raise it back up.
