Lift questions for diy4x parts

You said you're trying to do this as cheap as possible so why not just use a regular old lift kit? Front lift springs, rear lift springs (or even a spring/block combo), a fresh set of shocks and steering correction (dropped pitman arm, dropped drag link, raised steering arm or a combination depending on the height and manufacturer of the lift kit).

You said you like mud and sand. I can tell you with a shackle flip in the sand you're going to have such bad wheel hop w/o a traction bar you won't be able to drive it. I have a shackle flip with ford 57" springs out back and I took it on a shake down run to the dunes before I built my traction bar and it was a mess.

Well now that you have said that your right...dang i am glad you said somthing. I can just go buy a 4 inch susp lift kit from ranch for like $500.

I was just told blocks suck. but i honestly dont know, this is my 1st k5 and my 1st lift.

Doesn't Kert or DIY4X have a B-52 option for the front that is a pretty cool set up?

yes he does.

but 52/56 swap requires springs/brackets/custom shock mounts/steering swap to crossover/and few other mods . and most guys find thay need a special loooong slip front shaft. stock wont work.

so all that = out the door on cheep lift the right way.

The plan is cheap.

The blazer will be used for mudding, going to the beach, and to the river.

So what ever the cheapest way to lift the blazer is the route i am going to take.

the rancho kit is your best option, comes with everything except tires
do it and be happy

Next time though, please give us your needs and details about the truck before going off on what you think you need. LOL
Could have saved some time and a few circles. Make sure to post a picture after it's done, poser pics are good too :)
