It really depends on what you want. Both have pro's and con's, I was planning on a shackle flip but I have decided on going with lift springs instead.

do both! 4" springs, 4" shackle flip and a 2" block! best of everything! and i have almost stock driveline angle!

Not recommended by who? You? /forums/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif

It kind of depends on what you want, the shackle flip will give more flex. I have 6" lifted springs on mine because if I used a shackle flip it would mess my driveshaft angle up and I would have to buy a $300 CV shaft.

Or rotate your pinion back down /forums/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif

A shackle flip is fine for towing as long as you realize that it makes your suspension feel a little softer than before. You realy shoulden't be towing with a 1400RTI, high lifted, big tired tow rig....its just common sence. But if you want to lift your 3/4 ton a bit with a shackle lift you will be fine.

This has been beat to death and the experts (ORD) say it is fine as long as you are smart about it. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

EDIT: oh and I got the ORD flip a long time ago. I still use the brackets (moved to a new location) with my newer longer/softer All Pro springs. They are a quality product, and a good design that I would use again.
