Lifted m1008 with a vibration under throttle

when you did the flip, it pointed the rear pinion at the t-case. you'll need to re-adjust it. pics?

I Know first hand that hes right. I had to reset my pinion angle in order to get rid of my vibration after putting in my shackle flip kit. Just go to lowes and get your self an angle finder, they are about 6 dollars, remove your drive shaft and place the angle finder on the yoke bolt holes at the t-case, then repeat prosses at the rear axle, subtract the two from each other and that will give you your degree or angle u will need to lower the axles pinion. Then ether oder them from diy4 or got to your local axle and spring shop and buy the shims you need.

Had to get a double cardan drive shaft for mine after I lifted it. No matter how I shimed the old one, never got rid of the vibes.

just thought id share my experience on my k5. i used 4" tc springs up front and ord shackle flip in the rear.

when i first installed the lift i had some vibrations on my rear drive line, so dropped the tcase an inch and that helped some. then i got shims, i believe 6 degrees, put them in and raised the transfer case back up. that got my slip yoke and pinion within a degree or two and my driveline vibration went away. but the combination of raising the tcase and pointing the pinion down some pulled the slip yoke out enough that it vibrates like hell on the tcase output shaft when i let off the throttle. this vibration is different than the driveline vibe in that its not felt nearly as much as you can hear it, its loud and a much higher frequency. im pretty sure just lengthening my drivelines will solve this.

did what indy4x4fab said. got less vibration. still there. tried a bunch of shims.. ideas? thanks

pics? let's see the angle. the rear pinion should be 1 degree less then the t-case yoke.

did you check the u-joints? one or both could be wore, and now that your running them at a different angle it's showing itself.

put in 4 degree shims. we had already so we thought we would try it. still there.. could it be the shackle is to long? stock one is 4" about this is 5". went for 5" so it would sit level..

could be, but you should be able to get the angle correct with shims.

i hate to say it, but you could try dropping the t-case down and lessening the angle.

did you check the slip yokes?

yes slip yoke seems fine.. truck has very low miles.all still good and tight ordered 2 degree shims

all good now.. stock shackle back in 2 degree shims just did 65 on the high way no problems..
