Linked 74 K5. Rental house driveway build.

Thanks for the comments guys.

I got my borgeson steering shaft cut to length today, and painted. I was able to clear the coilover and hoop without adding an additional joint to the shaft. Everything is very tight on the drivers side. I must have cycled the suspension a hundred times and wasted over 20' of tube before i got the hoop right. I plan to see how the front sits under its own weight next weekend. It has been on jackstands for years.

Old thread but I had a question - did you use the stock 74 box and steering column?

I wasn't aware that a borgeson would fit those - ie with splines on both ends. Any info is helpful!

You should see it in person, the only word that comes to mind to describe it is, "Bitchen".

You need to change the title of this thread now icehouse :deal:

I just read through this whole thread.....:eek1:

It is not the original 74 box and column. The box is a PSC and the column is from a 91 Suburban. It looks like Borgeson makes a shaft for the 74 year. I would measure the steering box input splines along with the size of the column interface and just call Borgeson to see what part number you would need. They were very helpful when I called them with questions last.

Thanks for the compliments guys. I am having to put this project on hold for now as I purchased the house and am doing renovations. I plan on putting up a large pole building next spring and will update this thread with progress on that.

Here are the last few progress pictures I have of the Blazer.
