You are very impatient aren't you?

yes i am when im spending my hard earned money on something and im told its gonna be delivered by a cetian date..

You got mad a JJlaughner for not getting a quote and picture's fast enough even tho he told you he was 60 mile's away. Sometime's people don't know what goe's on in other's live's

i pmed him, responded to his thread, and never heard back from him....asked him several questions with no responce....im sure his computer is not 60 miles away from him....i have sold many parts on here that have been 40 + miles away and i still get my a$$ up and go get them...if you cant sell them when people need them then dont sell them...thats my look on things...especially when im willing to help someone out that has something for sale and they dont reply to my PMs and i see they have had activity on the site since they were PMED...that why i didnt buy the box from him!!!

have talked to Sky himself many time's for about an hour at a time

prolly something similar to this happened and thats were the slip up was and my parts didnt get shipped...

MABYE your diffrent then me but when i spend my hard earned money i want my stuff!!!Please know the whole story before you call someone out next time on theyre purchaces.I didnt want to get into the JJlaughner thing but you left me no choice...thats why i didnt buy it from him i was just trying to move on from that but you brought it up...have a nice day!!

i ordered my crossover from them. seemed like the best bang for the buck. i waited cause they were a lil backed up and had to make my link for my 8" of lift. in that type of industry sometimes things take longer then expected. it was not a big deal for me. i talked to them twice after i ordered once they called me to see about my lift......my wife tried to answer his questions with the best a typical wife would know about a truck. know what she told them. she said it came up to about her shoulders for how high it was. and told them it had 42's and she is 5'. guess what they some how decoded it and got it right.lol no idea on that. the parts were great well constructed. i couldnt of asked for better crossover.
i know the quality is great thats why i ordered from them...the problem was the shipping!!

I personally have had GREAT service from Sky on several occasions. I used Sky for some of my crossover parts because I & friends have had many problems with shipping and service from one of the big site sponsors here. I am not going to turn this into a bashing thread so just let me say that this is more the exception then the rule with Sky from everything I have ever seen and that there are alot of other vendors that have had more problems in the past then them.

this is the kind of info i read about when ordered which made me decide to order from them....i guess im just the one in a million who has had a problem...they seem to have a good track record.....it just funny this kinda stuff always happens to me...

I don't care about gettin into it. Holy crap that hurt my head to attempt to read. What make's you think I don't know the whole storry. For one you mentioned how impatient you are , for 2 you told us the "story " and that is what I was talking to you about.

Good luck getting thing's all the time when you "want" . Sometime's thing's happen and it doesn't happen. Doesn't mean you need to bash them . If you are so displeased why didn't you cancel the order and call ord? Is it because they were cheaper?

I dunno people just make me mad , and say it is everyone else's falt , and the guy isn't here to defend himself.

Did you ask them to ship them quicker? In my experience others have no Idea what you are wanting and you never get anything least you ask.

If they spoke with you and explained the situation and you responded with "OK" then its business as usual. You will never get what you do not ask for.

I ordered parts from ORD that they did not have in stock. they asked if it was OK to send me a part that had been installed on a truck but never used. "sure, but what are you gonna do price wise?" they shipped it second day for the regular ground charge. The gave up a few dollars of profit to maintain a positive customer. But if I had not said anything they would have continued on as if nothing were different. its over the phone, its almost as hard to judge someones mood as over the internet.

You didn't have a problem coming on here to talk about it. You shouldn't have a problem talking to them. just be nice when you call. explain how you were excited to get the parts but now you are feeling slighted by their mistake.

I ordered my clocking ring from GLO. it looked like crap when it arrived. the edges were all rough, the threaded holes were garbage and the ring was soaking in oil. I called and spoke to the owner. If I ever order from them again I can take off the price of the ring from my order. Basically I have to spend more money to feel better about the initial purchase.

Most companies will do something to make you a happy customer because if you are pissed you will bash them to all your friends and potentially cost them future business.

for the record I WILL NEVER ORDER FROM GLO!

Oh I could get into it about shawn.. that pos ....

Ok , I sent Shawn a pm awhile ago that somebody was bashing him on pirate and if he wanted to keep his rep on pirate to check it out. Anyways, He said thank's I owe ya one because on pirate if you arn't quick to fix you are a sinkin ship .

Fast forward a month or so. I post on pirate sayin I am going to TX to get a ton of hummer wheel's. He call's me and talk's. was very nice and cool etc. He wanted me to score him wheel's and tire's so he can sell and me do all the work. Anyway's I called ,pm'd etc never got ahold of him befor I left so he didn't get any.

So when I got back I posted them here , and Pirate. He pm'd all the mod's and got the thread deleted for me bc he was pissed he didn't get any , and I was selling them . I talked to all the mod's the restored the thread even tho I didn't have a vendor tag. Then they delete again sayin I need that bc I have to many to not be a vendor. I say oh ,ask a few question's and camo finally tell's me shawn kept gettin the thread removed saying I need to be a vendor.

I mean what kind bs is that? But he sure is a nice guy .... NOT

I will never reccomend him or buy from him .

I actually think this is a bigger deal than just customer service etc.

My company can't hire skilled carpenters to save their life. We kiss a bunch of toads only to end up with heards of toads and no princess.
Each of these vendors/manufacturers is in the same boat. The skilled and trained work force for their line of work is slim and there are a lot of Toads out there. These guys get someone only to find out that they are not all they were cracked up to be.

While you wouldn't think that the lack of good box packers or parts painters would affect your order it really does. The owner of the company is usually the one doint the major customer relations stuff and if the company is lacking in another area they as the owner pick up the slack. This gets them slightly on edge and or they slip up with things like billing etc.

I guess my rambling point is that while you are the customer and are "always right" try to put yourself in Sky's, Stephens, Kert and any other mail order parts comapies shoes. They are human and do deserve a bit of slack sometimes.

I feel that being a good customer is just as important as getting good customer service.

Another member here is one of those box packers for a mail order company where I live in Minneapolis. His company went through lots of toads to get the crew they have now.

For many companies the shipping deptartment is a lowest cost operation way of business. His learned the hard way to stop that.

And this spring when the FDA did an inspection and passed them with flying colors and last month when the quality standards people did the same they got paid back for the money. Every small business has to watch what and where they spend money. Unfortunatly the first thing looked at usually is shipping. Which is the very FIRST thing the customer sees. After 28 years in the transportation industry I really understand this. The small business places generally do a much better job of shipping than the big places do.

My ex worked for a large mail order company in the customer service deptartment. They had a 3 week backlog for outbound shipments. Sales was telling people its no problem for next day air. 2~3 weeks later the customer would get their orders, by next day air!

I had a shipping problem with SKY when I order my x-over also. Took over three weeks to get it, IIRC. Ordered it Monday they said it might make it out the same day, if not definitely the next day, and I could call back and get a tracking number. So I waited two days, called and no number. Was told there was a mix up with billing, in which I replied that it had already been withdrawn from my account. The response was, "can you call back around____ o clock?", so sure no problem. Two more days and no number, finally told them that I need to cancel because I had a ride coming up and wasn't going to miss it because of them. The guy took a deep breath, explained to me what I still believe is the truth and said it would be out the next day. So I waited and it showed up within four days.

Great product, but crappy for having to play the phone tag thing. Before my experience, I had not heard of anyone else having any trouble. I would order from them again though.
