little pissed with sky manufacturing..brown truck finally showed up today!!

I ordered my crossover stuff almost 3 weeks ago...they told me it would be here before the 4th...seemed like a long time but i was like ok....as of today no show....i called them today and they said it was being shipped today :mad:...anyone elce had this experiance with them???they said the problem was in billing but its been paid for like 2 weeks now...ive heard nothing but positive stuff about them but this really puts a bad taste in my mouth for them...

i guess what pissed me off the most is the guy specificly said "we meesed up in billing" and didnt offer to get my order shipped any faster than ground...actually told me to call him back at 5 pm west coast time and he would give me a tracking number...shouldnt i have gave him my number and he called me after shippment??
 
sky is good stuff but

ORD is gt it covered on all sides you are not just getting a part that is on time and top of the line with a waranty for a company is A+ . but you can ask him anything on buggys or moters - just a good guy

and ther are many others on this site to (most with vender tags)
 
I had great luck with Sky. Sorry to hear you had problems. At least they were man enough to admit they screwed up. I wouldnt hesitate to order from them again myself.
 
I got pieces from them and they were good and on time. No problems here. Did you ask them to ship them quicker? In my experience others have no Idea what you are wanting and you never get anything least you ask. I would give em a second chance.

i didnt ask for fast shipping...the reason im pissed with them is they screwed up and admited it and didnt take any action to fix it..they could have said we will ship this out next day air but they didnt want to take any action on it...im just glad im depending on the pats right now or i would be very pissed...
 
I deal with stuff like ths all the time and it is hard to Make that "right" decision. I did it today. made a wrong decision based on my perception and the customer was totally pissed because I did not help him more. He did not tell me he needed anything more from me so I just did the norm. (turned out he needed someone to come help him change the tire) I had no idea.

I am not defending them since I am not them. I just see myself making the same decisions very often. Hope everything turns out well.
 
im sure it will like i said im not to pissed because the parts would just be collecting dust right now...its just the POINT...you get what im saying....its kinda like theese rockcrusher (just not as bad) diff covers no one has recived...if i had ordered one i would be flipping out by now..i dont have a very good patience...
 
Sky's always been great with products & customer service. I got my stuff pretty quick. I barely got around to start gettin' my high steer on a couple of weeks ago after ordering up my kit a year ago. I was having some trouble with the tie rod placement for some reason, called Sky up, he gave me a hand. I was also worried about the tie rod & drag link coming in contact with the 52s & consulted with him. he let me know to try it out & if i wasn't satisfied, then to give him a call & we could work something out. Great guy. ORD has just gotten silly expensive...& i'm not dogging them 'cause they do make awesome stuff & my suspension is pretty much all their stuff.

well mabye i just got them on a bad day then...i dunno i think just about anyone on here would be a lil frustrated if they were in my position right now...
 
I would be frustrated too. dont get me wrong. I sit by the door waiting like a dog when I order something:D

it gets worse when you go into his shop. i have gone in serveral times in the last few months with my brother, keep in mind we knew him way before sky-manufacturing was around, and several times he told us, he couldnt do this or that, or he didn't have this or that. at one point he just gave us his local supplier, and we went and got parts from them instead of going through him.

the biggest problem is, he is a nice guy and all, he just cant seem to find any good people to work for him these days.

You are very impatient aren't you?
You got mad a JJlaughner for not getting a quote and picture's fast enough even tho he told you he was 60 mile's away. Sometime's people don't know what goe's on in other's live's. Cut Sky some slack they are good part's at a good price. I wouldn't order from ORD because they are more money. I have talked to Sky himself many time's for about an hour at a time. They have gone out of there way to help me make stuff work they didn't design it for. Just cut them some slack and try to be optimistic. If you are only pessimistic you are alway's going to be dissapointed becaust nothing will be "good enough" . Sorry for the rant just going off what I have noticed. Carry on .
Also everyone can make mistake's even you and I . The did to me and overnighted stuff to me . I got it within 24 hr's because they sent me the wrong part. Even told me to keep the wrong one . Now that is service. :D
 
i ordered my crossover from them. seemed like the best bang for the buck. i waited cause they were a lil backed up and had to make my link for my 8" of lift. in that type of industry sometimes things take longer then expected. it was not a big deal for me. i talked to them twice after i ordered once they called me to see about my lift......my wife tried to answer his questions with the best a typical wife would know about a truck. know what she told them. she said it came up to about her shoulders for how high it was. and told them it had 42's and she is 5'. guess what they some how decoded it and got it right.lol no idea on that. the parts were great well constructed. i couldnt of asked for better crossover.
