LMC seat belts

A friend of mine ordered a set, he ended up buying a set of used ones from me. I never really asked him why, he just said he didn't like them.

They are OK. They will work. They are not designed exactly like the factory ones, but they still work good enough. LMC only sells them as a complete set, so you will be spending about $300 for them.

I have a set of their front seat belts in my 89. They are fine. Not exactly like the originals but I was more concerned with having working seatbelts. My originals didnt lock up anymore after 28 years of use.

So they do lock up and retract well?

I had a heck of a time with one of the fronts that I bought about two months ago. Couldn't get it to retract or extract at all out of the box and had to take the plastic off and pull like crazy on it. Seem cheaply made but once I mounted them they act ok now.

I was looking at the option of using a new set of theirs because mine are really old, stained, and very hard. Likely to fail in an accident to be honest. My seat covers were also shot so I decided to upgrade the seats and go with some front ones out of a 2004 Yukon with the integrated seat belts. It's a nice upgrade if you want to be comfortable driving. My setup has the 6 way adjustable seats and manual lumbar. I have not installed them yet but I got some details from another forum on how to install them and he hard mounted his passenger side and with the way the seat recliner allows the seat to fold forward rear passenger entry is hardly effected. I figure to help compensate for the slight overlap of entry space I am going to get some of those paracord Oh Shit/Grab handles made and install one off a bolt where the shoulder harness bolt is and then another one off one of the bolts that hold the half cap on.

Bought aftermarket set. I think they pretty much all come from the same place in Florida. Ones I bought were of decent quality, but don't look original.
