lock nuts on valve covers?

quick question. If I'm using the crappy parts store ($40) edlebrock valve covers (with felpro rubber gaskets) would it be wise to use lock nuts to tighten them? or is that just asking for trouble? It seems that everytime I check them they have loosened (i guess due to the expansion and shrinkage b/c of opperating temps). Will the lock ones just warp the hell out of valve covers when it heats up? Thanks

you should lock tite the studs in, use load spreaders and the lock nut will be fine
