roadnotca, any reason why you got a no-slip in the rear, instead of a locker?

So the way this thread goes, we're talking about the winter 2 years from now, right? In that case, might be worthwhile to take global warming into account, and there may not be any more snow...:D

Do you know anyone who has a truck with a locked rear? If so, would they let you try it out in a parking lot or so?

That said, I'd go for the 14sf. My first choice for traction aid would be an ARB (and I speak from experience, having had an ARB in the rear of my K5 for 8+ years); second choice would be a locker as I'm not sure how much use a limited slip/posi would be on the trail, considering your front is open.
Hah...we actually finially had a little storm here....

Yes I do know people with locked rears, but 1 of them is a standard, and I don`t know how to drive a stick, and the other is out of commission for a while, I believe...

Bring this back...

I`m thinking about having my posi unit put up front. I haven`t really gotten an answer yet, so I`m not sure if its possible...

AFAIK, its an actually posi unit, not a gov-lock. Both axles are 30 spline 10 bolts, if that helps..I think the posi either needs to be adjusted, or rebuilt, so take that into account as well...

I have a detroit locker in the rear (14ff)and had a trac lock in the front with my old axle(d44) with 36 tsl's and 4.56 gears. no issues

Now i'm thinking of going full spool in the rear (14ff) with a detroit electrac up front (D60) with 42 iroks and 5.38 gears.
