I've done plenty of searching and I've been looking at exploded views and different threads for the past hour and I know people have talked about their Lockrights not fitting into their D60s with the ring gear on.

I took my ring gear off and still cant get the drivers and spacers to slide in between the couplers. It seems that the housing is still too tight. Has anyone ever had to grind their housing even after taking off the ring gear? Has anyone had this problem? I tried to attach a few pics, we'll see if that worked.

I did mine with the gears still in the axle, I just had to pull the drivers side axle out. Pics are not that great. Did you remove the shims or leave them in?

I placed the old thrust washers on the backs of the new couplers. Thats what the directions for the locker said to do. Sorry about the pics, don't really know how to get better ones.

As a guy who has done several lunchboxes , of many flavors . You don't put those both in at once . Reread the instructions .

You put both drive gears in ( the ones splined to the axles ) , you put ONE of those driven pieces in with the pins slid in with grease . You want the pins sitting flat inside that driven part . And then you put the other one in with no pins in it , just the holes ready for the pins . Then you use a little pic to drive the pins into the other side , then you put the springs in holding the pins in .

ahh yes, now I see the large idiot that I am. The instructions do have to be read carefully. I did not catch that the first 3 times that I read them. Thanks for the help pauly.
