Can someone explain what this is ? My trans guy was talking about adding this to my trans while they were doing some other things. The way he explained it, sounds like some kind of “overdrive” switch for a TH350. With my current trans and gearing, I normally run around 2400 RPM at 65mph. He said this should drop some with the lockup and allow me to run 70 MPH at about the same RPM range.

you need a whole th350C case and setup for this. std th350 wont work.
its just a lockup torque convotor setup in a th350 package.
might save you 200-300 rpm thats it.

all that work and only gain is drop 200-300 = not worth it to me. i would do a 700r4 swap. but need drive shaft mods then.
that get you overdrive and lockup convortor and deep low first gear. = much better pay off in the end.
84 k5 should have had a 700 factory.
did someone swap it out with a fits all spacer kit between the tranny and tcase mount ?

not really worth it.200 to 300 rpm aint enough to make the changes to use one.do a shift kit and get the line pressure up and that will help more.
