I have this Lokar th350 transmission flexible tube on my Blazer. This thing is a bitch read. Same one on my C10 still a bitch to read.

When you pull it, wipe etc then pull it out to check, all the fluid is almost always wiped off. Today checking my my Blazer after it was well warmed up to proper temp. It was almost impossible to check the fluid level. I'd pour, run through the tranny gear, go back up and well anyway.

When will you know your th350 is too full?

When it puked from the dipstick tube.

All kidding aside, flexible tubes are junk. Never found one I liked. That’s why I wedged a factory metal one in for my 4l80. Probably best to do that with yours.

Yea... the way it sits the stock tube wouldn't work. I could probably make it work now having a bit more experience than 5 years ago. But this Lokar thing is a pain to read...

I had to trim the bottom of the tube to get mine to snake in but eventually got it. Need to fab up a small bracket to secure it. I had a flexible tube on my last blazer with the th350 and trying to fill it, much less read it, was a pain in the ass.

Sure is.. sometimes it's too full sometimes not enough. It's a pain for sure

Time for a solid metal tube, the are plenty available, though I don't see the one I use. I think is obsolete Gm part. Anyway the number 1 failure on the new gm style tubes is the spot welds on the bracket to bell housing. should inspect and reinforce any welds before installing.
If you undo the trans mount and jack up the t case till it hits the floor, this improves the angle to install the tube in the grommet, then put tcase back in place and fasten to upper right bell housing bolt. Easy peasy

I fought and fought and fought some more to get my T400 dipstick tube in. I went through 4 different (used) ones, couldn't get any of them in.
I finally broke down, after literally 3 weeks of fighting with them, bought a new one, with a new dipstick, from summit racing, they said "guaranteed fit"
Well, you know how that went.
I ended up buying a NOS part from Rock Auto, using the summit racing dipstick. It still required a bit of "forceful negotiation" with a pry bar and a rubber deadblow hammer. Then still had to bend the stuffings out of the bellhousing mounting tube, to get it to go near a bolt.
Not happy, but, it's done.

Since I have to change the filter on the TH350 soon, might be good time to see how accurate this Lokar dipstick is. The stock one I couldn't get to work. It's too tight with the Tcase drop. That tube wouldn't go into the tranny the angle wouldn't work.

After reading here it seems you guys have had to massage them to work as well..

I have the replacement filter here...
What gasket do you guys recommend? I've used this one in the past

It's what roughly 4 quarts for a filter change on th350. It's a fresh rebuilt th350 that has 430 miles on it. The builder said change filter at 90days or 3,000 miles. Well. I might some time left as that was about 5 years ago.

Im past 90 days but far under 3,000 miles

See how many miles I put on the truck... hahahahahaha
