i punched it from a roll, about 10mph, no brakes at all, all engine! one tire lit up for a couple hundred feet, 2-300 i think, i had to let off, it would have kept burning it

i love it, i just moved it across the drive way! lol i just love driving it!

The 1970 Buick 455 Stage-1 engine had the highest torque rating (510 ft-lb) of any performance engine in 1970 (only Cadillac's 500-ci engine had a higher rating).

thats why everyone gets caddys, not that 455 hehe

YEAH! good stuff! you'll have to take it to the track and find out 1/4 mile times. Im going to do that with my burb soon as i can! I wish i had a cam so i could vid my burn outs

The Buicks are a bit easier to install than a Caddy actually..I hear the oil pan misses the crossmember..no special oilpan or pump required..

Did you have to swap to a eldorado oilpan and pickup tube Branndon??--I've seen some 4x4's use caddy motors that have front sumps without oilpan modifications,I guess if its lifted high enough the pan clearance isn't an issue ..?:ears:

I know of one guy who has one in a 2wd truck,a 72 Buick Electra 225 455 motor in a
74 C10--used the TH400 from the Buick too!..it smokes the tires in all 3 gears like its on ice!...

Olds 455's are pretty much a bolt in swap too--since Chevy used the 350 Olds diesel in pickups, its proof they will bolt in without major modifications.. some Olds 455's also put out over 500 ft.lbs of torque!:eek1: ..

Wish I could see Branndon's video..my dial up modem sucks, cant watch videos or get online radio.. ..I bet its an awesome burnout!..:D
