Long or Short Tailshaft for a TH400 to NP 208

if i convert to a TH400, do i need long or short tailshaft to install with an np208? also, would i need a different bell-housing and torque convertor to bolt up to a 305? i think the th-400 came off of a 454 which i plan on putting in in the next year or two (hopefully) but it would be hooked up to a 305 for now. thanks.

It'll bolt right to the 305, and re-fit to the big block when you're ready. The shaft you need in the TH400 to hook to the 208 will stick out of the case by about 2.5". You'll need a 32 spline input gear in the 208 and the adapter housing from 208 to TH400.
