If using a 14 bolt is there a set of spring perches available to run a set of extended travel springs? Maybe work with ORD for the sprint rates and shocks. I know I've had some on my prerunner with a 9" way back when but would like to run a set on my next truck. I know Raffo has his race truck like this but not a 14 bolt.

That’s easy, you just weld new perches underneath the axle. Basic flip kit

I was wondering if it's better than running a trac bar?

Fred Williams ran spring under on the Alaskan/Alabama Army Truck. He ran it like that for the leverage the portals exerted. It worked really well. I'm pretty sure he swapped to ORD springs after this photo Screenshot_20221121-191658-880.png

Nope, leaf springs will still do leaf spring things. Especially soft ones.

As mentioned, the axle itself doesn't really care. Perch on top, or perch on bottom, pretty easy to swap that arrangement.

Also, if you're planning on any kind of lift, the arch and shackle lengths get ridiculous on the fullsize GM trucks. Good springs (spring over) with some sort of traction bar (or links ) is better!

Id love to link my 77 but not sure it's in the wallet yet and need to schedule it with Ed Built for the install.

I have great springs now, this is just planning ahead.

The front is linked so I want to eventually link the rear once I start working again. Right now the front and rear are matched up well. It gets me where I need to go and usually pretty fast lol.

Ed Built FTW
