Long wait for my 14 bolt brake lines from ORD

ORD Brake Lines

The thread was started: ORD has a long wait for their Brakelines. Stephen replied that he has a supplier problem on the lines. He also said I should have been contacted about a delay. (I was not) I do understand problems can occur with orders. I have called twice since the original call to check on the order. The first call was after I should have received the lines. (this time was judged by other orders from them) During this call I was told they will go out the next day. I called back 3 days later to make sure they followed through. ORD did not. Now I am unhappy with ORD. (Why was I told they would go out the next day) I have placed orders and talked to Chris on other orders with great service. I think ORD had poor customer service after the sale on this order. Now it is day 14 since my order was placed. All I want is my brakelines to get my truck back on the road.
Everyone will have their own opinions and different likes.

I however, think that you are completely ridiculous, and trying to use this forum to stir a bunch of **** up to give ORD a black eye and you get your product quicker. Having two posts on this board that were for sale adds prior to this strengthens my point.

Just a little FYI it won't happen. While ORD has made a mistake here they will get it corrected and you will get your brakelines. You won't ever order from them again, Your loss, and they will keep on keepin on despite you. It's well documented that there are mistakes that happen, yes even with ORD, it's how the mistakes are handled that makes a company or person good. ORD has proven time and time again that they are a stand up company that makes their mistakes right.

Once agian I am glad i get to pick my customers and clients cause you wouldn't make the cut in my world. Or if you did manage to slip through as soon as the crazy came out I would charge you double and then send you packin, and you wonder why? Cause I can

I placed an order with ORD for hard brake lines for my 14 bolt swap. The order was placed by phone. (I was not told they were out of stock) I waited 7 days before I called back to see what happen to my order. I did speak to Chris and he said they were not in stock when I placed my order, but would go out the next day. I just called today to see if they were shipped Friday and they still do not have them. These parts will finish the project. I wish ORD would have told me that they were not in stock when I placed my order, or would have sent me a email that the lines were not in stock in the 7 days, or followed through and sent them out like they said.

We had brake lines on order and they were coming in the day that we said your lines would ship. We got the order and the lines you need were not in it, even though we had ordered them. That's where the company that builds our lines for us messed all of this up, we gave you an honest assessment of the shipping date at the time and assumed that we would get what we ordered and could ship it to you.

After reading each response from ORD......they just seem like great guys and your circumstance is just unfortunate. Problems happen and the explanation that Stephen gave (and now Chris) were very straight forward with no BS. The timeline of the unfortunate circumstances described by Stephen is factual and believable. No salesman fluff. I think they are a great company and contribute a ton to the K5 community.

Oh, and a few days ago, I placed an order for some sway bar disconnects. Should have them sitting on my doorstep when I get home tonight! Thanks Chris!

I call ORD and speak to a lady and then get trasfered to Chris. I place my order (no time was I told the product was out of stock) 7 days pass and I call just after lunch their time. Chris said, when the order was placed they were out of stock (7 days ago?) but would ship the next day. I called to follow up 3 days later and they were not shipped.

I've never had any issue, always had great experiences, and I like shopping at a vendor where they know better than I do what my truck really needs.

No problems, their stuff works, is durable, and does what I want; made my truck better, as stated in their motto.

From a non biased stand point..

I have bought from Jegs, Summit 4wheel Parts ORD RUFF STUFF etc...


Ive had problems with summit, 4WP, and any other company you can imagine.

Ive bought many times from ORD, and I was always given an honest ride, late parts happen, and if youve been building your rig over a year or more.. Whats another couple of days?

its not the end of the world and their products have always been quality )ive bought 14bbf disk brake conversion, F.U.S.H. shackle flip etc) and always have they helped if needed.


Ive cancelled orders from summit and jegs from being told after the fact that things are back ordered for months. but that doesnt mean i wont buy from them again.

my advice: Give them a chance, let them make your next purchase better. Cause if thats your thinking you must not have very many places left to buy from.

Though I have never ordered anything from ORD I can tell u they have been very helpful. I have called for advise a couple of times and they have always been willing to answer questions and give guidance.

round pattern or figure 8? Do you already have the trans.? If so, what is the tailshaft length past the 6 bolt flange? Do you need the adapter as well?

my 2 cents worth on ORD

I have now placed 3 orders with ORD and got the priviledge of going to their facility to pick up my orders, the place was hard to find and had no shiny showroom full of parts for the what we call around here "pothole pounders". that is what i thought was was cool. these folks at ORD know their marbles and have some really cool stuff available. Rome wasnt built in a day and niether was my K5, patience grasshopper................
