Hi guys,

I pulled out my rear 10 bolt axle and installed a 14 bolt axle. The truck previously had a 4 inch lift. I removed the blocks and installed ORD shackle flip kit. The problem I have now is the center brake line doesn't seem to be long enough to reach down to the brake lines. What's the deal should have I been able to use the old center brake line since the truck had been previously lifted?

If you go back and check your old 10 bolt you should find a metal tab at the top that raised the distribution block up a few inches. Swap that to the 14 bolt...or get the extended SS braided lines from ORD.

Ya I am using the tab from the 10 bolt. It appears when I had the truck on jack stands the axle was fully extended and was slightly to short. With some weight on the truck its long enough. So I dont know I guess I assumed the center brake line would be long enough with the axle fully extended.

If it's fully extended with the axle just hanging there you're still going to want to get a longer line on it. Catching air or really bouncing the rear might extend it a little bit further than just hanging...pop snap...
