So I stop into Vatozone to grab a new Alt belt.

Top OFF
Radio (IPOD) rocking
Looking totaly cool in my 72

Pull into the parking spot, push the button on my seat belt to unhook it...no unhooky, the fricking pot metal piece inside decided to break right then. I am thinking WTF do I do now? There I am hooked to the seat and cant reach any tools or anything, had to loosen the belt up all the way and climb out of it onto the seat. :yikes:

I am pretty sure my cool points were vetoed by EVERYONE seeing me climbing onto my seat so I could get out.

I DID decide to drive home without the seat belt instead of climbing back into it :dunno: :dunno:

Lucky you for finding out when you were stopped, and not when you were at the point of impact with something solid ...

I took the outer cover off and can open it by lifting the tab up with my key....I assume I have to replace it:confused: :dunno:

Maybe someone will chime in if there is a special CK5 trick...I have my decoder ring....just waiting for the encrypted message

I soooo thought you were going to say some "chick" song came on that very second you pulled up. Something for the missus hahahahaha

I pulled up to Advance one day in my old Bonneville and the tilt steering came loose and dropped all of a sudden. Usually you get some warning but for some reason this one gave me none it just fell. When it fell the horn hung. I couldn't pull the cover off the steering wheel without unscrewing it. I popped the hood and couldn't get to the battery because of the brace that went over it and the horn was behind the battery. I had to go inside to get tools while the horn sat there blaring. Definitely uncool

HA, I can do you one better. I got in a customers 90's gayass red beamer and the ignition would not engage, It wasnt stuck but it just spun freely all the way around in both directions and then i heard a fan turn on. The power locks would not respond nor the power windows. Im claustrophobic so this freaked me out bad. Im 6,2 250 and i jumped over the beamers center console and out the passenger door which was unlocked for some reason thank god or else i woulda knocked the glass out. I went and gave the keys to another guy and told him to bring it in the bay.

Later with the windows down and doors unlocked i tried to drive it out. I started it up with the clutch pedal on the ground and right foot on the brake and as soon as i started it the car redlined instantly like the gas pedal was floored with the customer sitting in the lobby about 10 feet away. I looked down thinking my boot was partially on the gas pedal since i have a large foot print and even when i pulled my right foot entirely off both pedals it kept screaming higher so i shut er down (this all occured in about 1.5 seconds).

Have i mentioned i hate foreign cars :)

Good thing it wasn't a Toyota it would have crashed through the wall.

I have some blue ones, and parchment, but no black or green. Do you know Tom out in East Mesa?? He would probably have what you need in stock. Great guy to deal with too. Where are you at in Phx??

Where are you at in Phx??

Avondale, 101 & I10, about 10 minutes from the stadium

I may hold off buying anything for a while. I need to put points, rotor, change out my vacuum advance modual and rejet the card and time it correctly. I got a price of 500 bucks to do it from a shop, I don't know sh!it about engines so trying to figure that one out..All I know is thats an assload of money when I have all the parts

jb, one of your local phx boys may be willing to help ya do that stuff, its an easy and quick job, and should be willing to show ya and teach ya.

I would be truly indebted for the help, I am willing to learn, just sucks to start from ground zero :frown1:
