Looking at this 89 K5, good deal?

Ya it seems pretty good to me as well. I'll see how flexible he is on it later today.

*EDIT* Well I just talked to him and offered 1500 and he took it, so I guess I own a K5 again :) He's also local and is going to drive it to my apt, can't argue with that. Can't wait!

id take the 1900 hundred cash and go pick it up now.it looks clean and well taken care of.id do it if i had it.the engine alone is worth at least a grand if it was a good rebuild.

$1500 bux is CHEAP!!. Im surprised he lowered it, even at 1900bux it was a good deal. I guess ppl are hurting all over.

First things I would do:

Change the fluids, dont matter if they were already done, do it yourself so you know what is what

Check all seals top to bottom and fix em if need be

Check frame at steering box

Check all belts and hoses

Check brakes and lines.

After its good to go, Id leave as is and just drive it. it looks too good a shape to butcher. lol.

now it is definitely kickass deal.he musta just wanted rid of it.awesome find.you are right down from me in bucks county.there is a lot of salt use here,so check the underbelly for rust damage.4 years of daily drivin my 72 and it is rust shot already.i had to take it off the road til i can get the body repaired.thats been a 4 yr hyadis from legally drivin it.

sweet deals like that are all over the place now I just need to find some money

Here's another one I saw on CL too, if anyone is looking for an already built rig:

As for the 89, I'm looking forward to getting it. From all the pics I don't see any major rust anywhere but I'll know more when I see it in person. But for 1500 I'm not going to complain. Anyone looking for a nice, newer truck??? :) My 05 Silverado will be for sale soon.

Hopefully he makes a wrong turn at your apartment and ends up in Oklahoma! Hell I could actually afford that. Everything I can afford around here so far I've found is either junk or poorly modified. I'd love to have a clean simple rig with about the same lift, tires, AC!, etc.

Great find bud and good luck with the transaction and new rig!

Nice Score! Where are the pics??

Once I get it next week I'll definitely post pics :D As long as it doesn't need anything I'll probably just get a soft top for it and be done. I already have 2 car projects that take up my time, I don't need another $ pit. Just drop the top on a sunny day and I'm good.

thats definitely a good lookin rig also.i just delivered to boothwyn,pa last week.haha.looks like i coulda brought a new toy home if i had the money.

Well I guess I didn't act quick enough because I called the guy yesterday to meet up and pay and he said "someone came out of the blue" and said he wanted it but didn't give him any $. He probably said he'd give more. I'm supposed to call him Friday but I'm sure he'll say he wants more or that the guy already took it :(.

Say...."Dude...look. I've got cash in hand. Done deal. I'm not gonna back out on you. Let's do this." Hell for $1500 (or even $1900) if something goes wrong with it, the parts are worth that. Good luck and stick with it. Hope you get it. I still haven't gotten mine yet but that's a LONG story.

It's an unspoken rule that the first guy to show up with the asking price takes it.

Even something close to the asking price in cash is worth more than any supposed appointment.
