i'm looking for a 327 small journal block, preferably as close to central Arkansas as possible.
at&t cell #= 5 oh 1- 8 two 7- two 5 2 six...thanks

That shouldn't be too hard to find. Most 327's are small journal (62-67).

yea, you'd think so, but i've been looking for a good 1 for a couple of yrs now. i thought i had found a lg journal 327 in the 1st 68 c-10 i bought a few yrs ago, i pulled it out, it had block busted and turned out to be a sm journal 327,...i checked the vin stamped on head deck and its the original engine to the 68...i had an old mechanic told me gm put them in 68's until they ran out of them, so all 68 327's are not always a lg journal...unfortunately

Yes, there are some things that were leftover from previous years or the beginning of the following year. I had a small journal 327 in my shop that had a factory spin on oil filter rather than the factory cannister that "should" have been on a small journal engine.

If you were closer i would make you a deal on the cherry +.030" SJ 327 sitting in my shop right now. Unfortunately you're too far away and i have a friend who is looking for one as well and he's local so i'm making him a deal on it as we speak.
