Looking for a decently priced good quality hydraulic press for home shop. To press in seals, do axles, bearings and some bending. I know a guy that has a iit tool 30 ton, but he hasn't told me how much he wants for it, they run $375 new, not sure what I should offer him. Know harbor frieght has them but looking for something a little beefier that will last a long time.

Thanks for reply, if I can.t get the one above for 200 or less, I.ll get the harbor freight one then add an extended service for ten bucks in case the jack takes a plunge. You ever do any dimple die work? Would like to in future thats why I wanted the 30 ton. Whats the min tonage for a standard dimple die set?

:dunno: i just use for bearings and small little jobs.

and new bottle jack i checked was about 80 bucks.

i figured save my 10 bucks now and chance it.

its not as tall as you might think.

and the little 12 ton hf offers was around 3ft tall. this is almost 5 ft tall. :haha:

I did bearing and gears for quite a long time with just a 12 ton HF press.

I have done dimple die work on it too. Very rarely did I need anything bigger. Really the only time was when I was starting to crush a crush sleeve on a press.
