it's just a socket really, the warranty isn't necessary

also, what do you need all those other sockets for? Do you have that many different 4x4s to work on? I just bought one socket, works for my both 14/60.

I hate having to order something when I need it. If I ever have to work on a friends truck, I would much rather have it in my tool box. I was hoping to find some through craftsman, but I only seem to be able to find them by tool manufacturers I am unfamiliar with.

Also this set with 6 sockets is about the same price as 2 of the sockets individually.

make sure thay have a cut out to clean the inner nut tiny pin .

cheepys have got me in the past and not had this and snapped the pin off the inner nut and happened on weekend in late afternoon with no place to get replacment. :doah:

and if you want quality and good deal EBAY for tools. i see snap-on and others go fairly cheep to 1/2 price on the axle sockets.

Thanks, but California is bit of a drive to pick up a socket.

Be aware, i have a set very similar from kragen, and it wouldn't pull the nut on my 14ff.
It was REALLY close, but wouldnt' do it.

Had to buy another one. Something to think about.

there is 2 6 tab sockets. old dana 60 front and gm14ff .

you can use the dana 60 on gm if you round the inner edges just a tiny bit with a file to make it like the 14ff nut.

set socket on 14ff nut and tap with hammer . then remove and file the spots were it hit .

now you have a 2 for 1 socket.

haha yeah I know. I ended up ordering the kd set I had posted up earlier. It should be here in the next couple days, but I may not see it until after thanksgiving. I hope they will get through what I am currently working on, and I can avoid having to track down other axle nut sockets in the future.

You prob. could have bought them at NAPA... Most of the NAPA brand speciatly tools like that are all KD brand tools that Ive seen... Most even use the same part numbers..

I do not buy anything at NAPA. They have always treated me poorly. They also have a no return policy on anything they order. I think the NAPAs near me mainly deal with commercial sales, and not walk ins.

I have one socket i bought at my local auto store. it has teeth on the end and inside so it works on d44/ 10 bolts as well as d60 spindles.

i'll see if there's a name on it later today.

I have a dana 44/10 bolt socket from "Performance Tools" which is advance autos cheap brand. I think I bought it from WFO or Barnes4wd but I like it because it has a ring around the outside to keep the teeth from jumping off the nut.

Mine just came in the other day. I have one with the ring around the outside and one without in the set. I learned what you mean really quick.
