The driver side seat bracket broke and now I need either a replacement bracket or aftermarket seats. I am new to the Blazer community and desperatley need help.

you can put a lot of different seats in blazers, you just have to make a custom mount or change the OEM mount to make them work. i have a 94 cavalier as a get around car and the seats in it are pretty sweet for a truck. they have nice side support and arent weird looking, im thinking about finding another set for my blazer. but just find a seat you like and build from there. my other friend just picked up some SCAT racing seats for his lowered ranger. he just did some custom work to mount them and they're pretty sweet.

You could always buy factory seats.

Check here on the equipment exchange under parts, there are few ppl selling complete seats w/ brackets and everything.

Yeah that sounds good I will thikn i will check out the other forum. I just need a replacement for right now

Where is your bracket broken? If you can post pics of if it would help. I may be able to help you out either getting it fixed or getting a replacement.

2 options I love,

easy way out would be a factory seat/junk yard

other is a 95-99 seat, couple holes line up on the floor, the rest is minimal work..and comfy round 75-150 for a pair

or build mounts and corbeau seats, 169.00 shipped for a suspension seat

I will try to get some pics together to put up on here. I had thought about aftermarkets but would prefer to avoid the cost till i know where I am heading with this project.

What year truck ? Blazers in the 80's and 70's use different floor brackets , but the seats themselves have the proper nut inserts in all the right spots . So any Blazer seat will interchange with your year mounts .

And mounts are easy to come by with people cutting up rigs all the time . I have 70's brackets in my garage collecting dust .

Is it possible to use factory mounts w/ suspension (aftermarket) seats? My passenger side is the type that flips up. I wouldnt mind saving a few bucks and being able to reuse my mounts.

I have a set of seats that I am not using that came out of my 91 K5. If they will work for you let me know. You are welcome to them.

Several years ago I drove a Dodge Omni to work ( about 40 mpg ) every day. The spot weld in the seat back broke and I brought it to an automotive upholstery shop. I removed the seat and had them fix it. Cost $20. If the seat upholstery is in good shape it might be cheaper to get it fixed. If it is worn out or beat to hell replace it.

LOL yeah the seat has seen better days. But in the long run new seats are going in but a cheap fix is going to be necessary for now.

I might suggest not going for aftermarket bucketseats.....i bought a pair of corbeaus and recieved them torned up, also they are nasty when gettin on or off of my truck, my ass hurts.......i went for good old blazer seats

Another option is to look into the 40/20/40 front bench seat from a '99-'07 Classic Silverado or Sierra with the integrated seatbelts and the fold down center console in the middle. I don't know how much they'd run cost wise but it was just a suggestion.
