I am looking for pictures and ideas on how to repair the area around where the seat belts attach. I know this is a common area that rusts out and needs some fixing. Mine is gone and needs repair. So any help would be great! I have search the forum but cant find what I am looking for. Thank you!!

There are no panels in the aftermarket for that area. I bought some sheet 16 guage and made a panel for it. Pretty straight forward...

The rest of the patches I've made have all been out of OEM bedsides I have here that were in good shape, so roughly 20 or 22 guage. Still thicker than the current aftermarket stuff you find now.

Yes i forgot to mention those were custom patch panels that he made in those pictures. Ive heard most aftermarket floorboards are 22gauge if not smaller.:eek1:

Heres what I am working with.

I called a local "classic" restoration shop and they said they charge $55/hr to do this kind of work. Over the phone, the guy guesstimated that it would be about $250 - $450 to repair my truck which is about like yours.

Havet done much since then due to kids and work, bt hoping to get back to work on it in th near future. Thanks for subscribing!
